As Legion Post 173 is moving into the new community center, they have decided to sell at public auction the existing building and property.

Legal Description: Third Addition, Lots 6, 7 and 8, Block 16, Town of Ayrshire, Iowa, Palo Alto County.

General Description: A brick 26’x 62’, 1612 sq. ft. building with near new roof, air conditioner and LP furnace. The interior has also been recently reconditioned with new ceiling, bathroom fixtures, overhead lights, 150 amp breaker box and ceiling fans. The building is well insulated and has kitchen facilities. A 10’x 22’ entry has also been added in recent years. This building sets on a 75’x 125’ lot and is connected to the new Clay Regional Sewer system.

Taxes: This has been a non-profit tax free entity as long as the American Legion has owned it. There will be no taxes due and payable until the fall of 2010. A new tax basis will be established after ownership has been transferred.
